How Everyone Came To Be Scared All Of The Time - Mike Swanson (02/17/2015)

Over the weekend weather forecasters predicted snow where I live for Monday.

I went to the grocery stores as I usually do on Sunday and there was total panic there.

All the bread was sold out and there wasn't much milk left.

It was crazy.

And then on Monday it snowed.

Right as the flakes came down the governor of the state I live in declared a state of emergency. His announcement played over and over again on TV all afternoon.

And so people freaked out and everything shut down.

And it snowed three inches.

People are always scared of something it seems. People enjoy being scared I think.

When TV tells them to be scared and they get scared they then feel like they are a part of the group. And it boosts the TV ratings.

But it seems like everyone is becoming increasingly nervous and almost paranoid.

And of course people who are on edge all of the time tend to be people who get angry at a snap.

So today most Americans hate the rest of the world. They have lost so much respect even for themselves that they have even willingly given up their own privacy to the government in fear.

How did this happen and why?
